Next, I skillfully shapes the clay on the wheel, a process requiring focus and precision (that takes months to years to master and perfect), followed by trimming and refining the piece. Finally, after drying for days, the pottery is fired in an electric kiln at over 2000ºF for 10 hours, cooled down for another 10 hours, glazed, and fired again at 2200ºF, culminating in a labor-intensive journey that can span weeks before the final piece emerges.
