This stoneware piece has a unique matte black crackle glaze covers a sandy speckled orange-beige. The contemporary planter has a squared opening at the top with a wider, rounded base, and a unique melted-blob shape. This is a super unique piece and the shape can not be replicated.

- Handmade and thrown on the wheel
- 4.5" tall x 3.5" opening x 5.5" bottom diameter
- This decorative vase piece is NOT FOOD-SAFE due to the crackle glaze. It's safe to touch and have around food, just can't have any food or drink in it

How it's made:
The handmade pottery process through wheel throwing begins with the meticulous preparation of clay, which involves wedging to remove air bubbles and create a uniform consistency. Next, I skillfully shape the clay on the wheel, a process requiring focus and precision (that takes years to master and perfect), allow the piece to dry 1-2 days, then followed by trimming and refining the piece. Finally, after drying for a few more days, the pottery is fired in an electric kiln at over 2000ºF for 10 hours, cooled down for another 10 hours, glazed, and fired again at 2200ºF, culminating in a labor-intensive journey that can span weeks before the final piece emerges. (And this doesn't include all the pieces that may break in the process). I hope you enjoy this handmade piece and appreciate all the hard work (and love) that is put into each ceramic object.
