Handmade Ceramic Matchstick Holder & Candle Set

Ceramic “strike anywhere” matchstick holder and matching lavender soy candle. Both pieces are handmade and thrown on the pottery wheel. The candle has a wood wick and burning time of around 24 hours.

About the handmade pottery process:
The handmade pottery process through wheel throwing begins with the meticulous preparation of clay, which involves wedging to remove air bubbles and create a uniform consistency. Next, I skillfully shapes the clay on the wheel, a process requiring focus and precision (that takes months to years to master and perfect), followed by trimming and refining the piece. Finally, after drying for days, the pottery is fired in an electric kiln, glazed, and fired again, culminating in a labor-intensive journey that can span weeks before the final piece emerges. (And this doesn't include all the pieces that may break in the process). I hope you enjoy this handmade piece and appreciate all the hard work (and love) that is put into each ceramic object.
